In this talk, Ryan Hughes reflects on the origins of the Computational Design Network (CDND) and explores how the field has matured into an ecosystem of platforms, startups, and venture-backed technologies shaping the built environment. Drawing on data and insights from Graph Technologies’ research and recent projects, the presentation examines both the opportunities and the unintended consequences of this transformation — from AI dependency and cybersecurity to software quality and data ethics.
